When one member of a team is injured, another member is responsible for taking over the role of the injured member. This gives the rest of the team an “injured member” mentality. I think the most valuable part of a team is when the team is cohesive and works together. A part of the team that is missing is that feeling of belonging. When you don’t feel like you belong, then things go bad. When you’re a part of a team, you are a part of something bigger. You can’t be a part of one person, and that’s a loss.

If a person is not on the same page with their teammates, they are taking a lot of the responsibility for the team to fail. But most importantly, people who are out of sync with their teammates shouldnt have to manage them, but instead should be able to self-manage.

When a team leader does not respect their team, they lose and are taken down in the process. People without a leader are not able to execute and are often left in a bad position. I feel that the best leadership is when everyone on a team knows they are in charge and they can be trusted to lead a team to success.

When I am on a team, I am responsible for making sure the other members of the team are aware of what my actions mean. I also ensure that they are aware of my role in making decisions. The other members of the team are responsible for making sure I can execute my part of the team’s role. I feel that this role should be self-managed and not handled by a leader.
