The best way to manage yourself is to direct in your own self-awareness. It should be a habit, a way of being, and not something that is forced on you.
I am a director and I have always thought that directing myself was a bad choice. It’s a task that is often set up by people who are not in the best position to direct themselves. We’re all in different positions, so it can be hard to know how to direct yourself. It’s also a whole lot easier if you have a good mentor (or a coach) to guide you through it.
I think its time to tell you that a good coach is more than just a good teacher. It’s someone who is in a position of authority to help guide you through the process of directing. This is what I mean by directing yourself. I’m a director, and I’m a manager. I direct a lot of people, both large and small, and I’ve had my fair share of mentors and coaches. But my coach is now my mentor.
I was talking about this with a friend last night, and he pointed out that if you’re an entrepreneur, then you’re probably not a manager. Like, you’re not the guy in charge of the payroll, the HR department, or the company board. You’re not in charge of the people who are going to be responsible for your success. In fact, you’re probably not even in charge of anyone. You’re a bit of a director. You have a lot of authority.
I agree with this. Ive had a lot of role models in my life and have watched them do a lot of different things. Some of them were managers, some of them were CEOs, and some of them were directors. But if youre an entrepreneur, then youre probably not even in charge of anyone. Like, youre the guy with the balls who is going to make the sales. Youre the guy who is going to take the company to the next level.
While it is true that people are not in control of everything, they can still exercise a considerable amount of control over their work lives and career. For example, you have to consider the fact that you are a director, a leader, and a manager. You cannot just do whatever you want to do because youre a director. You have to actually think about that and make the right decisions.
The right decisions are the ones that are not going to lead to your death. For example, if you were a director, you should not be using a car to drive your company to the next level. You should be walking, because youre a director. If youre walking, you should be walking for your company. If youre walking, you should be walking for your manager.
