We are not able to use our will to direct our actions and we have to use our emotions to direct our actions.

The human brain is like a muscle in that it has a lot of nerve endings, which are connected to many, many muscles. The exact same nerve endings, the exact same muscles, the exact same brain cells, connect to your heart, which is connected to your stomach, which is connected to your lungs, which are connected to your gut, which is connected to your blood vessels and your kidneys, which are connected to your brain.

Direct control is the ability to direct our actions, to control and direct our emotions. If you don’t have this ability, you’re more likely to act impulsively, or you’re less likely to think through the consequences, or you’ll end up doing it badly. For example, if you haven’t had direct control of your emotions, you might decide to go into a grocery store and impulsively make a wrong decision.

This is actually the exact same process that plays out in your brain, and is controlled by your gut. It’s when you think that you are in control of something that you end up doing it in a way that is detrimental to you. Even when we feel bad about ourselves, our emotions are still just feelings. When we feel bad about ourselves, our prefrontal cortex gets active to control us. But when we feel bad about ourselves, we are making a decision. Thats why when you feel good about yourself, you have direct control over your emotions.

Direct control is the same as direct control, that is, in the brain. We have direct control over our body and mind. How do we get things done in our head? Our body is the brain; our mind is the body. We can direct our emotions in a very limited way, but we can do it in real time. So when we feel bad about ourselves, we need to change that.
