Can kangaroos swim?

That is the question many people have been asking for years.

And finally, we can answer it:

yes! Kangaroos are one of the few animals that can swim on their own as they do not need to use their front limbs for paddling.

Kangaroos have a number of adaptations that allow them to be successful swimmers.

They are able to maintain their balance when they swim because one leg is usually in contact with the ground, which stabilizes them.

Their feet and claws provide traction on the bottom of the water allowing for quick movement through it while also helping propel themselves forward and back toward shore.

The kangaroo’s tail provides propulsion as well by acting like an oar or rudder in order to steer itself away from predators such as crocodiles who might want that tasty meal!

And lastly, its fur keeps him warm even when he has been out swimming for some time without coming ashore. Some other animals can actually swim too; dogs.
