Flea season is upon us, and it’s important to keep your pets protected against these pesky insects. We’ve compiled a list of tips for you to consider before reapplying for flea treatment early. Fleas are most active at dawn and dusk.

Flea eggs hatch quickly, so our best defence is to start early in the season. Consider re-applying flea treatment every month if you live in an area with a warm climate or a more humid environment like Florida.

Other climates should plan on reapplying flea treatments twice per year: once in late spring/early summer and again in October when it starts getting cool outside.

There are many factors that affect how long your pet will be protected against fleas; these include climatic conditions where you live as well as other environmental issues such as air pollution which can compromise the effectiveness of your feline’s topical medication.
