Can I port my number if my service is suspended?

It’s a common misconception that you can’t port your phone number if it has been suspended. This is not the case. You are able to port your number to another service provider for as long as you have an active, working line with them. The reason for this misconception could be because when people try to do this and they reach out to their carrier, they will often get turned down. The company may claim that in order to transfer your number, you will need a deposit or some other form of payment before they start the process. As we know by now though, this isn’t true.

Porting your suspended number is possible, but it’s important to know what you’re getting into. When porting a number that has been suspended by the carrier, they may require an upfront payment or some type of deposit before beginning the process. This isn’t always the case though! Some companies will give you an option to complete this without any deposits at all as long as there are no other issues with your account such as past due balances or fines for expired lines on record.
