I was recently working as a medical receptionist in a large hospital in the Midwest. The annual salary for this position is in the range of $62,000. I have heard that the average medical receptionist salary in the U.S. is around $48,000, but I could be wrong.

If you want to make more money, take your employer’s advice; but if you want to earn more money, then you need to invest.

I would argue that most of the money you are making in the US is because of government mandated and legal minimum wage. In many cases, you should be getting paid a minimum wage. But if you are not, you should be getting paid more than minimum wage. You will be getting a lot more money if you get a good job.
