And yet the fact that you work for a company that pays you the same as everyone else makes it a little more than a luxury. Its not that youre not happy, its just that you dont have any free money to spend.

This is the same reason that the work day is so long, and why so many people feel that theyve been working for too long or too little. Because you dont have any free money to spend, it means that you do have to work. Its not that the work is too hard, its just that youre missing your chance to spend your free time doing something else.

I was going to use this one to point out the irony that a company that can generate its own income through the sale of goods or services can also profit from the work of the rest of the world. Thats why they will have to reduce the hours worked for their employees. But as I read what the author stated, I saw a deeper point that I didnt fully comprehend.

I was really looking forward to reading your take on the differences between the competition and the workers. Especially the part about the workers getting to spend their free time doing something else and making money. The idea that the worker will be able to do that and still be able to be paid for that is mind blowing. I guess that is what happens when the company makes more money than the worker.
